Fashion Critique: “The Devil wears Prada” Movie

This is an American comedy-drama movie that was a phenomenal hit on the year 2006, which was based on the year 2003 novel of  Lauren Weisberger. The story revolves on an aspiring journalist after her graduation, she was then hired on a fashion-based magazine as a junior personal assistant of Miranda Priestly, wherein she was the editor-in-chief of the Runway magazine.

Despite her odd taste on fashion they however have time to spin the shot, she successfully impressed Miranda by her witty decisions in a pressure moment. Although, she failed to do what she has to do in bringing the ‘book’ to Miranda’s house, she never gave up to accomplish the impossible task the EIC is punishing to her. In the end, she was able to survive the struggles she’s been with along with the other casts.

The plot alone gave the audience an awed expression, as it was a triumphant fashion-based movie. It was a bonus points for the film to have the most admirable casts which is Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep.

Throughout the movie, it was emphasized in their the working process of each creative designer, writers and the staffs on how important fashion is to their work.
